What to expect
Please note that due to the current situation with Covid-19 I am working exclusively online via video call or via telephone.
I offer clients an initial free telephone call to discuss their needs and availability followed by an initial online session.
I have experience of providing online therapy sessions for some years prior to Covid; this way of meeting, although different, it can be just as effective and a risk free way to access support.
The first appointment is an opportunity to meet, learn more about you, what difficulties you may be experiencing, to establish whether I am the best person to help and if we are the 'right fit'. Together we can discuss an agreed plan of action which we can review at regular intervals in case goals and focus may change. There is no obligation/pressure to book more sessions unless it feels right for you. If you are unsure you can go away and think about whether more sessions would be helpful.
How long does it take?
Therapy can be just a few sessions and, sometimes, even one session may be enough. It may continue over several weeks or months. This depends on your individual situation, wanted outcome and will be discussed on your first appointment.
How long is a session & how often will I see my therapist?
Sessions will usually last fifty minutes to one hour. This can be adapted to your needs and should be discussed during the first appointment. Many people see their therapist once a week, but the frequency can vary according to your needs.
Fees are discussed prior to the first appointment .
£50-60 x 1 hr session- individual
£60-65 x 1 hr session- couples
Some concessions are made depending on your individual circumstances. If for any reasons I am unable to help, I will do my best to recommend a suitable colleague or other helpful organizations.
